MOTION NO. 2

MOTION: Councillor T. McDermott

"That this committee calls on the Manager to consider proposals from the principal and Board of Management of Greenhills College to dispose of a portion of the adjoining park to the college in order to secure it from on-going and persistent anti-social behaviour."

REPORT:

The boundary of the School where it adjoins the park land is being examined in conjunction with the Parks Department. In the event of agreement being reached to transfer any portion of the park land to the School to improve the security of the School, it will be necessary for the owners of the school i.e. Department of Education and Science or County Dublin V.E.C. to accept responsibility for ownership and maintenance of the lands.
