MOTION NO. 9

MOTION: Councillor M. Ardagh

"That the Manager include funding in this year's estimates for the upgrading of public lighting on Wainsfort Road, Avenue, Park and College Park."

REPORT:

A new public lighting installation will be implemented on Wainsfort Road complete with new underground cabling in 2008,if adequate funding is made available outside the normal public lighting budget ie. capital grant for structural column replacement.

It is not the intention of the Section to change the lighting installation on Wainsfort Avenue or College Park. However, lighting in Wainfort Park will be ugraded with pole numbers 5 to 8 inclusive on the ESB overhead network being replaced with 8 No. columns on the opposite green area.
