CATHAOIRLEACH'S BUSINESS

That the Manager gives an update with respect to the problems surrounding the new sound barrier wall constructed as part of the Outer Ring road project in the vicinity of the Kilmartin estate - to outline what proposals he has in mind to address the issues raised by residents acknowledging that problems have already arisenfor the community because of this wall.

REPORT:

The noise barrier wall in the vicinity of Kilmartin Estate has been constructed in accordance with the Bord Pleanala approval granted for the scheme in order to mitigate noise as a result of the new road construction. The community problems referred to have been brought to the attention of the Housing Department as the remaining lands are surplus to the road construction contract and remain part of the housing estate lands.
