Some of the trees along the M50 have been removed to construct Environmental /Noise barriers in accordance with the An Bord Pleanala planning permission for the scheme. The purpose of these noise barriers is to mitigate the impact of the M50 upgrade scheme on adjacent properties. The M50 contract includes a landscaping plan such that all remainning lands will be appropriatly landscaped as early as possible upon completion of the scheme. The lanscaping proposal are included in the EIS which is available on the Council website. The road construction contract will be completed by the middle of next year.
