QUESTION: Councillor C. King

"To ask the Manager, to update the Committee on the timing of the next steps of the West Oldcourt L.A.P understanding the fact that the initial pre-draft stage has been completed".

REPLY:

At the moment a number of issues remain to be resolved regarding the proposed Draft Local Area Plan, namely:

- Resolving access and circulation given the existing pattern of traffic in the area. This was a key issue in the pre-draft public consultation

- The treatment of the existing 220Kv power line that traverses the land, and accommodating two existing raw water trunk mains that also traverse the Draft Local Area Plan lands

Difficulties in resolving the above issues mean that it is not possible, at present, to determine when the process regarding the proposed Draft Local Area Plan may commence.
