MOTION: Councillor M. Ardagh

"That the Manager examine how the grass verge at the shops on St. Peter's Road, which was previously landscaped by the Council, can be redesigned for ease of maintenance, and will the Parks Department carry out an immediate clean up of the area which is overgrown with weeds and has become an eyesore."

REPORT:

The landscaped frontage to the shops on St. Peter’s Road was replanted in recent years with a low maintenance planting scheme with a view to the shop owners assisting in its subsequent maintenance. This has not happened but the interim Parks Department will arrange for a clean-up of the area as soon as possible.
