QUESTION NO. 19

QUESTION: Councillor E. Walsh

"To ask the Manager for the number of homeless persons waiting for housing in the Terenure Rathfarnham area?

REPLY:

In accordance with the Council's Scheme of Letting Priorities Applicants with overall priority will be given priority over other applicants in the letting of available accommodation. Those applicants awarded Homeless Priority are deemed as requiring urgent housing. Area of Preference is considered when offer of housing accommodation is made, however, availability of dwellings will determine location of offer. Should an applicant who has been awarded Homeless Priority refuse an offer of housing accommodation their priority is cancelled.
