QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

To ask the Manager for an updated report on the County Arts Centre project, including the anticipated completion date?

REPLY:

The Contract for the construction of the new County Arts Centre was signed with Townlink Construction on the 9^th February 2007. The new County Arts Centre will be located adjacent to the LUAS line, towards the front of County Hall.

The project, which has a contract value of in excess of €9M, was commissioned by the Community Services Department and developed by Architectural Services Department under the direction of the County Architect.

The construction of the County Arts Centre is expected to be completed late May 2008.
