QUESTION NO. 8
QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart
"To ask the Manager to make a statement on that fact that the contractor who repaired the badly damaged footpath outside 31-33 Ballyroan road caused serious damage to the walls at the front gardens of both residences rendering one of them in particular unsafe, and to outline how the Council proposes to make good the situation?"
REPLY:
The Parks Department have recently removed a mature cherry blossom tree from the verge in front of the houses in question. The root structure was observed to have been extensively overgrown and had caused damage to the footpath and the boundary wall. Roads Department and the Parks Department will arrange to liaise with the residents in relation to carrying out wall repairs.
