COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF TALLAGHT AREA COMMITTEE 1
Monday, October 15, 2007
QUESTION NO 13.
QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren
“To ask the Manager if he would organise as a matter of priority a clean up of the existing walk-way from Elmcastle Green in Kilnamanagh to the local National School, as this walk way is in a very poor condition and requires remedial work on the part of South Dublin County Council, and if he would make a statement on the matter?”
REPLY:
This location is a persistent black-spot for litter problems. However, a clean up of the area will be undertaken by the Parks Department as soon as possible. It is suggested also that contact be made with the Council’s Litter Warden Service to explore the possibility of generating a programme of anti-litter awareness in the area perhaps through the local schools or other community or sporting groups in the locality.
