QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Council to take steps, in conjuncion with NTL to relocate the NTL box adjacent to 14 and 15 Lansdowne Park which is a gathering point for serious anti-social behaviour, caused exclusively by the presence of the NTL Box?"

REPLY:

The area in question is beside the green open space which runs adjacent to the Lansdowne, Cremorne and Coolamber estates and tends to be frequented by youths. This area forms the site for the future re-aligned Knocklyon Road scheme proposed by the Council, which will include new boundary walls, footpaths and cycletracks. On completion of the scheme, the current open space will no longer serve as a gathering point.
