QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Manager for an update on Gael Scoil Chnoc Liamhna's position with regard to the school site at Knocklyon Road?"

REPLY:

The Council is continuing in its efforts to register the title to the section of abandoned road running through the site designated for Gaelscoil Chnoc Liamhna. Whilst documentation was lodged with the Property Registration Authority some time ago, that Authority is continuing to raise queries in the matter.

The Council’s Solicitor is now seeking the opinion of a Senior Counsel with experience in Conveyancing/Title matters to clarify the Council’s claim to title of the section of road way in question.
