QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Manager for a complete report on the works undertaken at Whitechurch Stream and what remains the responsibility of the residents?"

REPLY:

Road name signs have been erected.

Drainage works are complete. Ongoing monitoring has shown that the drainage system is operating successfully.

All paving and kerbing works have been completed.

Watermain works have been completed.

Fencing:  Parks Department have proposed to construct a fence perpendicular to the stream to close off the area of land adjacent to the stream. The area of land enclosed will then be planted with suitable shrubs and trees.

The footpath directly in front of the houses was not taken in charge by the Council. This area remains the responsibility of the residents.
