QUESTION: Councillor E. Walsh

"To ask the Manager to indicate when the Traffic Calming on Fernhill Road will start and to make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

At the Terenure/Rathfarnham Area Committee Meeting the following 2 schemes were selected:

     1.  Moyville, Pearse Bros/Palmer Park, Whitechurch Estate, Glenmore Park & Grangebrook 

     2.  Dangan, Shelton, Muckross, Hillsbrook & Fernhill

Fernhill Road is included in this second proposed scheme.  To assist in the design of this traffic calming scheme it is proposed to liaise with the Residents Associations in these areas.

The start of the design of scheme 1 will commence shortly and it is anticipated the design of scheme 2 will commence in 2008.
