QUESTION: Councillor J. Neville

"To ask the Manager to clarify the situation already outlined to the Roads Department  (in a number of e-mails), in relation to the re-configuration of the Greenhills Road.  Will the Manager confirm that the re-configuration of the Road (approved under the Part 8 process) will result in the creation of  "an unofficial laneway" at the rear of *details supplied and if so what action does the Road Department plan to take to alleviate the genuine concerns of adjacent residents?"

REPLY:

The council have been in contact with the owners of the adjoining property.  There is an apparent gap of approximately a metre existing on the Part 8 drawing. This gap is being eliminated in the detailed design which is currenlty underway.
