REMOVAL OF RIGHT TURN BAN AT SPRINGFIELD

REPORT:

Following discussion of previous motions under this heading, the Roads & Traffic Department requested its traffic modelling advisory consultants to model the impact of removal of the right turn ban from Templeogue Village into Springfield Avenue. The consultants have forwarded a draft report, the contents of which are in need of further clarification. 

It may be recalled that the ban was introduced originally as part of the Tallaght QBC scheme which was 100% funded by DTO Traffic Managmeent Grant allocations.    

The issue of removal of the right-turn is being referred to the Dublin Transportation Office for further consideration.
