Traffic alterations at Tay Lane/N7 and Newcastle roundabout.

The Roads Department propose to alter the traffic flows at the Junction of Tay Lane and the Eastbound carrriageway of the N7, Naas Road on grounds of safety.

 

LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF THE SITE

The works are located at the southern end of Tay Lane near its junction with the N7 National Primary Route and the eastbound diverge sliproad to Rathcoole Interchange.

SCOPE OF WORKS

The scope of works for the project can be summarised as follows:

• Closure of existing access to and from the existing N7 at Tay Lane

• New turning facility at the south end of Tay Lane 

• Alterations to existing eastbound diverge area at Newcastle Junction.

• Relocation of existing gantry sign and other associated signs.

• Associated safety fencing, drainage, kerbing, footway works, landscaping, road marking and studs.
