QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren

“To ask the Manager if he could identify the ownership of the lands beside *details supplied, and given the fact that these lands would seem to be in a derelict condition, and would also seem to be lands left over from the original development, if the Council would be open to allow the house owner in question to purchase these lands, if and when they become available via the original landowner, and if he will make a statement on the matter?” 

REPLY:

The area of land in question is not maintained by the Council's Parks Department as part of the open space for this development and the lands are effectively privately owned. The Council will examine the site in accordance with the provisions of the Derelict Sites Act.
