MOTION: Councillor C. King

"That this Committee calls on the Housing Manager to recommned to the Roads Manger the extinguishment of the turning bay adjacent to 31 Cushlawn Drive as a result of three years of anti-social activity at this location in the interest of Community safety".

REPORT

In relation to the anti-social activity taking place at the above location no complaints have been reported to the Allocations Support Unit. 

 The Allocations Support Officer has inspected the area and recommended that the turning bay be retained, as it is needed for the turning of cars -  the road leading to this area being very narrow. 

 The Allocation Support Unit will have the area tidied and the graffitti removed from the turning bay to improve the appearance of the area and will monitor it for any anti-social activity. 

 However, if anti-social behaviour is taking place in this or any other area Housing Department would urge residents to make contact with the Allocation Support Unit ( in confidence  ) and appropriate investigations will be initiated.
