QUESTION 16

QUESTION: Councillor C. King

"To ask the Manager, is it considered permissible for tenants to build walls on the perimeter at the front of their houses at Cushlawn Drive and can the manager make a statement on the matter".

REPLY

Tenants who wish to build garden / boundary walls should in the first instance contact Housing Maintenance Section for guidance and approval.

An inspection will be arranged at which tenant will be advised at to what may be built and what standards and regulations must be followed in so building.

Upon completion of the wall / boundary Housing Maintenance will inspect again and advise tenant accordingly.

It should be noted generally that boundarys  /  walls should be built using appropriate materials and be in keeping with the general design and layout of the estate.
