COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF TERENURE/RATHFARNHAM AREA COMMITTEE 2
Tuesday 8th May 2007
QUESTION No. 3
QUESTION: Councillor M. Árdagh
"To ask the Manager to carry out more frequent street cleaning in Moyville Lawn as litter is constantly blowing in from the shops around the corner?"
REPLY:
Moyville Lawn is on the Council’s road sweeping programme and is currently swept and cleaned four times per year in accordance with the schedule for that work. It is understood that the quarterly sweeping is scheduled to take place shortly and that the next sweep will be done at the end of July.
The Litter Warden for the area has been asked to monitor Moyville Lawn regularly to identify the source of litter in the area. The Warden has been asked to take action where the litter source can be identified and to arrange whatever clean ups are necessary, either by those causing the litter in the area or by the Council’s cleansing section.
