MOTION: Councillor M. Árdagh

"That the Manager replace the surface of the cycle path on Templeville Road as the new red surface contains a large quantity of loose material which is a danger to cyclists and will he replace the surface with more suitable material."

 

REPORT:

As part of the laying process for such a cycletrack, it is normal to apply an excess amount of chippings to ensure maximum bond to the surface. The contractor has been instructed to remove this residual quantity of loose grit. This will be carried out over the coming days.
