QUESTION: Councillor M. Corr

"To ask the Manager to include additional ramps in the Sundale estate in the vicinity of Sundale Parade and Sundale Lawn due to excessive speeding of residents accessing  Sundale Green as there are deep concerns that there will be an accident involving a child given the location of the green space on these roads?"

REPLY:

In 2003 the Council circulated details of the proposed traffic calming measures for the Suncroft / Sundale area to all households in the area and invited submissions from the residents to the measures proposed. There is no record of any submission from residents in Sundale Green, Parade or Lawn.

However, if the local residents forward a petition to the council outlining  the need for traffic calming measures the matter will be considered.
