MOTION: Councillor M. Árdagh

"That the Manager either (a) extend the pathway from Springfield House to the bollards at the junction with Springfield Avenue and reinstate the area around the manhole adjacent to the entrance to Springfield House or (b) extend the tarmac to the boundary wall of Springfield House in the pedestrian section of Springfield Road.  This area has never been completed and has been an eyesore for years where the profusion of weeds attracts rubbish, litter and refuse and will the Manager state when this work will be carried out."

REPORT

Road maintenance section has inspected the condition of this laneway. Works will be carried out in early 2007 to clear away all weeds and overgrowth, extend the paving to meet the wall and reinstate the surface around the service manhole. There is currently an existing footpath on the west side of the laneway which will also be repaired.
