QUESTION No: 6
QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart
"To ask the Manager to meet with the owner of the Post Office on Marian road to discuss the need for bollards on the corner of Silverwood Drive and Marian Road in the vicinty of the Post Office to prevent incursion by vehicles onto the footpath which potentially poses a risk for the security of the Post Office?"
REPLY
The Roads Department have no plans at present to place bollards on the footpath at Marian Road / Silverwood Drive junction. Parking on a footpath is an offence under the Roads Act which is enforcable by the Gardai. The matter will be raised with the Gardai at the next Traffic Management Meeting
