"To ask the Manager for an up date on the Enforcement Officers report regarding the Quality Kitchens Units 3, 4, 5, Greenhills Industrial Estate Dublin Ref No S4945?"
REPLY
Planning permission was granted on 10 August 2006 for “Demolition of part of the two-storey front section and alterations to the front elevation and construction of a single-storey extension of 445.2 sq. m to the rear and side of this terraced warehouse unit which is currently 1,186.5 sq. m in area”at Units 3, 4 & 5 Greenhills Industial Estate (Reg. ref. SD06A/0351 refers).
Planning permission was granted on 8 November 2006 for “Combining this unit with the adjoining units and construction of a single-storey extension of 202sq.m. to the rear and side of this end-of-terrace warehouse unit which is currently 400sq.m. in area” at Unit 5, Greenhills Industrial Estate (Reg. ref. SD06A/0666 refers)
The Council’s decisions were not appealed. On 31 October 2006, Commencement Notices were lodged in respect of planning applications, SD06A/0351 & SD06A/0666.
In November 2006 complaints were received from a number of residents in the vicinity of the development site concerning the development works. The complaints mainly concerned the residents’ unawareness of the proposed development and questioning the validity of the permissions.
However, the applicant met the requirements of the Planning & Development Act 2000, in each application and the permissions are valid. Works is ongoing on the site and it will be monitored to ensure that it proceeds in accordance with the permissions granted.
The Councillor will be kept informed as the investigation progresses.
