QUESTION: Councillor J. Neville

"To ask the Manager for a time-frame for the construction of traffic lights at the junction of Cheeverstown Road & Fortunestown Way and the current status of road developments at this location?"

REPLY:

The junction at Fortunestown Way and Cheeverstown Road forms part of the southern section of the Outer Ring Road. The contractor for this scheme has now been appointed and works are due to be completed in 2008.  In the interim pedestrian signals are being provided at the swimming pool for the benefit of pedestrians accessing this new facility.
