MOTION: Councillor C. Keane

"That this committee discusses the parking proposals for Pears Brother/ Palmer Park – ongoing prior to 1999. (b) to outline in the report the residents groups going to be contacted and when? (c) to outline what department is going to co-ordinate this –as it is a wider issue than any new housing development, taking into consideration plans have been developed previously by the Roads department.. (c) to outline in the report what assessment has been carried out on the submission on parking made by the Pearse Br. Park/Palmer Park residents association as part of the Ballyboden Village Plan? And to comment on same as such information is necessary prior to future meeting with the residents association." 

REPORT

Further to the Deputations Meeting of Nov. 29th., 2006 with the residents' representatives, a set of Roads Dept.'s, original parking proposals,were issued for consideration  by the residents, prior to arranging a further meeting to discuss them. Following the seasonal break, it is now proposed, as agreed, to arrange a meeting between the Roads Dept. and the residents to allow this discussion to take place, and, if possible, progress the matter further.

It is proposed to channel any further proposals through the Planning Dept. as the lead Dept., coordinating the Ballyboden Village Plan.

All submissions, received to date, have been discussed with the Roads Dept. and, incorporated into the original Draft Ballyboden Village Plan document where agreed.
