MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart

 "That the Manager update the committee on its ongoing efforts to deal with graffitti in the Terenure/Rathfarnham area and to include costs to date."

 REPORT

Graffiti has been removed from the following locations in the Terenure/ Rathfarnham area since the Graffiti Removal Squad was established in May 2006.

                   Rathfarnham                    24 Locations
                   Templeogue                      6 Locations
                   Greenhills                          1 Locations
                   Knocklyon                         5 Locations

 The cost of providing this service Countywide was approximately €176,000 in 2006 and it can  be assumed that at least one third of that expenditure related to the Terenure/ Rathfarnham area.
