QUESTION: Councillor C. Keane

"To ask the Manager to accede to the request of the Pearse Br. Park/Palmer Park request for Environmental improvements in those areas?"

REPLY

The Council is examining the request from the Residents of both estates for litter bins and intends to locate a new litter bin on Taylor’s Lane, close to the entrances to these estates.  It is also proposed to identify two or three suitable locations for new litter bins along the walkway between the Whitechurch shops and the school at Glenmore.

The Llitter Warden will arrange for the removal of graffiti in the area as requested.  This work will be carried out by the Council’s graffiti removal crew and it is hoped it can be carried out before the Christmas holiday period.  The litter warden will thereafter supply paint to the Residents who will ensure that the areas cleaned are maintained free from graffiti.
