MOTION No. 6
MOTION: Councillor A. White
"That the Manager furnish a report regarding the queries/objections raised by residents of St Mary's Avenue and of Dodder Dale on the implications for them of the pay-and-display system in the village, and how the Manger proposes to deal with same."
REPORT:
Current arrangements provide for free all day parking on an unrestricted basis. The proposed introduction of Pay and Display Parking includes time and cost restrictions while allowing for residential parking. It is acknowledged that St Mary's Avenue is narrow and constricted. Following a number of recent submissions by residents of St Mary's Avenue on the proposed layout consideration is being given to allowing parking on one side only and the appropriate inclusion of limited yellow lines. It is not intended to commence Pay and Display parking in this section of Rathfarnham until the new year.
